My first school in the secondary school's list was SMK Madai. My first visit was on the 20th May 2014 at 8.30am. A few days before that I just didnt know where to start as I've never yet attended the orientation course. I didnt have any idea what my coaching instruments look like...then one day my conversation with Ernah, our Elementary school Mathematic coach helped me to take an initiative.. Going inside (accompanied by Jalita,a senior clerk in our office) the PPD's room and hunting for the DTP Handbook which was nicely stacked on her book shelves was as easy as pie (heeee) .. from thereon I didnt look back but started printing all the forms and making calls to fix the day and time of my meeting with principals and headmasters whose schools are in Band 5....
The principal is En Masnon Maswan....it was a great session I would say..as this was my first visit we focussed more on the school's climate, students' demography and a little bit of management of human resource ... I enjoyed this session..it was less formal, a few Penolong Kanans were called in and be involved in our conversation...which was wrapped up at 1.55pm.... hahah I liked it.. I learned a lot from my coachee instead who was a former Guru Pakar for Science and one of the most committed and productive principals in the district..
